Our chorus renaming / rebranding has been a big project, and we're wrapping up some of the final touches! This week, we got our new banner up, just outside the church where we rehearse each week (Queen Anne Baptist Church). Chorus members came together for a fun quartetting activity over the weekend, to practice singing with different folks, and to build quartetting skills. Thanks to Bonnie for arranging a fun time! Our illustrious judges!

This quartet stays busy sharing barbershop all around the Puget Sound area! This week, Top of the Hill performed at Aegis in West Seattle, Admiral district. They sang in two different areas of the facility, delighting dozens of residents. When they were done, they stopped by a friend's rooftop gathering for some more impromptu singing. These guys never stop. Thanks for representing barbershop and Rain City Voices!!

This chorus has been super active in Harmony Platoon sessions over the last few years, and we're off to a good start again this year! This weekend, 15 singers got together to work on our five platoon songs and see how our learning is progressing. We'll be excited to join our Evergreen District friends at Harmony College Northwest in June, singing in pickup quartets and having tons of fun.

We had a great time returning to sing at the Queen Anne Easter Egg Hunt today at Bethany Presbyterian Church, around the corner from where we rehearse each week. The weather was perfect and the kids were ready to hunt for eggs! Congratulations on a great event!

A big congrats to Sound Transit on the opening of the full 2 Line, connecting light rail across Lake Washington! What can we say? We have so much fun each week rehearsing, but the Rain City Voices afterglow game is STRONG. We had 23 folks come out on Tuesday for some post-rehearsal fun -- and even more singing! Some of us lasted until closing, and celebrated outside the bar with a last tag of the evening, topped off by an exploding transformer across the street. Music is POWERFUL, y'all. We were elated with our second place finish in the Division II contest this morning in Salem! Photos and videos will all come, eventually, but in the meantime, thanks to our fearless leaders (Andy and Tyler) who managed this experimental attempt to sing undirected in a competition setting. Last night we got to root for three quartets heading to Salem this weekend to participate in the Evergreen District's Division II contest! The Top of the Hill was out and about bringing barbershop to the community on February 28, singing for the Ballard Elks Club "Old Timers Dinner." They charmed the crowd and had a great time. Great job, Top of the Hill!
