We are Rain City Voices.
We are a non-audition chorus on a path of continuous musical growth in a spirit of mutual
support and fellowship. We share our love of harmony by delighting and inspiring our
audiences, reaching out to our community, and supporting music education
Who is
Rain City Voices?
The Seattle chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (formerly the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Singing in America) was chartered on April 14, 1949, and incorporated on October 2, 1953. Since then, Rain City Voices (Formerly the SeaChordsmen) have been bringing the joy of barbershop harmony to music lovers in the area.

We are a gender-inclusive chorus that sings TTBB barbershop repertoire. We welcome all singers to our chorus, regardless of singing ability -- there are no auditions. If you can sing, we will help you improve; if you are new to singing, we will support you in understanding and best using your voice. And we would love to have you be a part of our rehearsals.
Come join us on any Tuesday evening!
Our Core Values
These are the values we strive to achieve with every sectional, rehearsal, and performance.
They are the center of what Rain City Voices stands for and believes in.

Musical Excellence
We are on a journey of artistic growth and discovery, always striving to create performances that enchant our audiences.

Fellowship
We support each other, share common interests,
and become connected outside
chorus activities as we build lifelong friendships.

Education
We seek opportunities to share our love of Barbershop music with the next
generation of singers who represent the great diversity of our community.

Community
We engage in community-building activities by singing in a variety of venues and contributing financially to charities.

Inclusion
We welcome all! We manifest this in our embrace of new members, our choices of repertoire, and our outreach.
